So I'm going to start setting up a glass working space and was wondering if anybody has tips on the best/cheapest way to get good ventilation in a basement with medium sized windows that open up. I saw a setup with an inline centrifugal fan connected to some duct work connected to a small homemade hood directly in front of the torch. Does this seem like a smart setup? It seems like it would be a good option for my space as installing a large range hood doesn't seem possible or probable with my construction knowledge.
Thanks.

tbh, ive seen all kinds of ventilation setups, and in my opinion, the main thing is to get good flow, you are just trying to draw all the heat and toxic fumes away from the work environment, if im wrong, someone please correct me. the fan and the duct work sounds like a winning idea.
