Rep system changes???

What gives??? mid surfin' I notice a slew of the boards big boys rep cut in half... swampy is only at 56!!!! I assume this is to remove some of the level-up power of the bad boys.... just curious...

oh sorry, i thought i said something but i musta forgot or something lol.

It now takes 200 points of rep to give you one point of rep altering power, instead of 100.

make sense?

you do realize at that ratio, it is now 4x harder to level up, huh :bouncy:

We'll use Swamp-ass as an example.

Swampy has 100 rep power.
Since it takes 100 rep points to level up, 1 click levels you up.

Now, since it takes 200 rep points to level up, swampy's rep power is at 50, not 100. It now takes him 4 clicks to level you up.

But, it's not like anyone lost anything. It's like going from cups to pints. The sames amount of liquid is there, just the actual number of pints is half that of cups.

Hey Misha - just curious, are there any other changes coming? The increased mailbox size was awesome, this change to the rep system just popped into effect, anything else coming our way? {I was confused for a couple minutes till I found this thread}

Doesn't make any difference... what should be changed is the repping ten other people before you rep the same person again.

I think we should be able to remove rep from our own profiles.

I have two or three exAmples of idiots giving me rep for appeasement after having a disagreement.

I can do without the "smoothing over", thanks.
