I am wanting to glue some big pieces onto rock bases. I have heard Gorilla Glue is good. And E3000. Just wanted to hear what some of you are using?

Thanks

I'm still a noob but Gorilla Glue is not clear, and epoxies tend to yellow with age. I've use E6000 for other projects, it seems to stay clear. Maybe you could find an optical grade epoxy but I think it might be expensive.

careful with the epoxies like gorilla as they also expand and are a nightmare to clean up.

I like Devcon 5 minute epoxy. It's a two part epoxy, available at the hardware store. It's solid, dries clear and in my experience does not expand, at least significantly. BUt yeah, be careful when you use it and act quickly. It's much easier to clean up if you don't make a mess, and if it starts to set while you are still working with it it gets a little wrinkly or bubbly, kind of looks like devit actually.

for most things i recommend the e6000. i used 2 part epoxies from the hardware, and they were often too brittle. the e6000 stays kinda gooey, so it doesn't pop off if it gets knocked hard.
a prolonged hard pull, and the e6000 can come off.
thanks to someone's tip on here, i "dry" the e6000 by keeping whatever i'm gluing on top of my kiln. it gets to be 150-200 degrees up there, and speeds up the cure time. i also tape most things in place, so they don't slide during the drying time.

um.. yeah, it's clear.. big ups for that.

i like UV glue also because its clear and is easy to set with glass. KEMXERT (http://www.mountainglassarts.com/s.nl/sc.2/category.117/.f)

UV glue is great for glass on glass however stick with the two part expoy for glass to stone. I second the hxtal.
