I'm only biased against Sundance, but when I can't pick it up locally, I go to generations, Mountain glass arts, Trev's glass, Vapor Glass, Glasscraft, and occasionally ABR.

But yeah, Generations will give you a good price and great service.

everybody is generally pretty good. see who's in your area, and who stocks products that meet your needs. pretty much any of us mentioned by Icarus will treat you right.

i like kt's service. he will match anybody's price and gives people on here 10% off just for being a part of this community.

i do buy most of my clear through UST, bulk freight. but if you are not buying full cases use generations

Out of curiosity what makes you not want to do business with Sundance? And being in madison do you ever get supplies at the Vinery?

With Sundance I've always gotten rude customer service, slow order fulfillment, and general headaches all around.

The Vinery... occasionally. I took my first classes their, so I have a love for them for that, but their prices are super high, and I don't like to buy piecemeal, so it's kind of rare for me to stop in there. Nice people all around though.

I have bought everything, with the exception of a few items from forum members, from FlameTreeGlass in Rosewell, Ga. This is mainly because they are simi-local to me. they are a good 30 min drive from me, but they open around 10 on Sat, which is a good time for me to get out of bed and moving. 25x4 tube is $12 so not a bad price, and I don't have to pay for shipping.

Again though, they are local, and if there isn't anyone local to you, then look for the best price to server ratio that you can afford. for me, FlameTreeGlass is the place.

Sorry to hear about the bad customer service! That sucks. What class did you take at the vinery? I used to teach introduction to boro lampworking there. Denny is a pretty good guy. When I pass through I usually rent bench space form them.

Ehhhh, it happens. Not to worry though. There were plenty of other sites who were more than willing to take my business, and most of those people (glass site owners) I actually "know" from here, so it works out for the best.

As for the Vinery, it was the 3 session boro intro class. Nate was the guy who taught it.
