whats up yall.

the way i got into glassblowing was i bought a startup kit from CL that had everything in it. as i was looking for some rod (lol) i found like ~20+ pieces of 50x2 and 44x2 that are all cut and prepped into i'd say 3-4 inch pieces. i really dont know what to do with them.

any ideas? they've been sitting in a box and unless i find something to do, they'll probably continue to sit in that box

You can: sleeve some colored tubing, coilpot some color, retticello's, tube implosions... there plenty of uses.

sounds like there pretty small...grab em with a claw...weld a blow tube...use it for Inside out fume trap...youll get some pretty sweet depth...make anything out of it...i use 44/2.3 for alot of I/O work...

Old school Snodgrass style. Fume, add clear, fume some more, add more clear, burn the fume off a bit before adding clear to get differing effects and nice depth. Fume it, heat one spot, add clear, if you do it right tube that thin tube will just slurp it right up. Keep adding until you get the thickness you like, melt it down until it almost is totally collapsed, blow it back out, and make it into a piece.
