So I built my new tank. made my solution to RAM specs, bought the copper conductive paint. Sand blasted my piece. rinsed with distilled water and sprayed the copper paint on with an air brush. Hooked it all up like I did with the old set up let it sit in the bath on a low .5 amp current overnight and the piece looks like it has been rolled in semi coarse frit Instead of the smooth build up like im looking for WTF!!!!! any ideas?
turn down to .15 or.2 amps.

I thought it was .5 for every square inch aprox? This has 4-5 times the surface area of what i was doing previously. I will try that and see what happens. Thanks.

Could be the application of the paint. I had a similar results twice, each time was a different problem.
Problem #1: My solution did not have enough battery acid. But, you followed RAM's guide, so that should not be the problem.
Problem #2: I did not mix my paint enough before it was applied. This could be your problem. Also, try painting it on instead of airbrushing, that may have something to do with it.
Goodluck!
