Lampwork Symposium Staufen 2011

About me : Axel Heintz is born 1959 in a family of glassblowers who work at the torch since five generations.Axel and his brother Jürgen work as lampwork artists since 30 years now.They exhibited,tought,performed andworked in many countries worldwide.More on www.artglassmax.vpweb.de
The gallery exists since 1983 and is located in a historical building in the center of the middle age town of Staufen.We have A showroom and a full equiped glass blowing studio with two rooms.With its middle age ambiente Staufen is known because of its many culturell,high quality events and atracts visitorswho are interested in arts.Between vine yards and green hills Staufen lays at the foot of the black forest near Freiburgin the very south west corner of Germany at the frontier to France and Switzerland
Who : Lampworking artists who work professional are very welcome
- free forming,solid glass,figurines,etc
- free blowing,hollow glass,goblets,vases,balls,etc
- objects
- marbles
- pipes
- jewellrey (exept beads)
There will be artists at work in every technique mentioned above.
Because we usually have many visitors every day (2-3 hundred) the first and second day are only for artists and invited visitors.
There is time for talking,sharing knowledge and thoughts,working together.The sense should be the growing of contacts between professional glass artists and the general developing for this kind of art.Last but not least this symposium will atract more customers who are interested in high class glass art and give them a rarely possible,closer insight into this special field.
On day three we have open for the public.The artists can present and sell their work in the showroom.We have a guest list of people
who are interested in high class art works.Please feel free to invite guests of your own
Possibilitys : There are four working places with torches (3 Arnold) and tools.One with video camera.We have rods and tubes,clear and coloured,boro and soft glass,murrinis,dicroic glass,granulates,oxydes and salts.The use is free for all artists.Those can bring their own things as well .
Media : Press,TV and Radio will be informed.Comercional ads are not neccesary
Costs : None.You just need to pay your accomodation.We can help to organize any kind of level.
Reservation : For day one and two a reservation for participating artists is neccesary
