Red sparkle....

I know, I know, two threads in two days is kind of obnoxious. I don't have a work thread and I really wanted to post this piece.

I was inspired after reading about the Kandy Apple red tubing that was at the Glassroots show. I made this tubing with two northstar uniques. A super sparkly version of unubtanium that was more blue (forget the name) and coated it with goats blood.

Very, very nice man. I really like the shaping in this piece, it terminates really smoothly at the avolio section. Looks like a clean two tone effect at the lip, too. We've been playing with this combo a bit at the shop, too, and loving it. Always a pleasure to see your work man.

Its between garnet and dark garnet from what I hear, awesome color but not alot of it.

The goats blood is a unique that was around a few months back. It is a really rich red that strikes pretty easily. I think the sparkle is sparkle darkle or duo ou, not sure which. I do not label the uniques as I cannot get them again anyways. Too bad, because that round was particularly good.

oh, and the uo duo I got had no sparkle in it, so it was probably the other that you used...unless they sent me the wrong colour.

I found the color that I used for the sparkle layer. It is actually from a batch of unobtanium odds that I picked up from MGA. I got them around the same time I got the uniques, hence the confusion.

The sparkle darkle is pretty sick though. I may give it a try with that as the base.

I only got a pound of goats blood as well. Too bad, as it is sick.
