Hello All,

I'm in the process of building my first set-up, and after using this site time and time again for reference I finally feel ready to introduce myself.

I have been a Rhode Island based collector of high-end "functional glass art" for a few years now. After pouring thousands into obtaining fine boro-art, I'm just beginning to explore the other side of things. Some of you may recognize me from Toke City. I have been lucky enough to have some guidance from a few local friends who know more about this then me, but for the most part I'm on my own here. Through much careful research and planning, I have finally gotten things off the ground. I decided on a GTT Scorpion and a Regalia Oxy-Con. The torch came today, and the concentrator ships on Monday.

I would like to thank Chris at CNY Glass for the super quick and friendly service. I ordered the torch late Monday morning, and it was here early Wednesday morning, packed nice and tight.

I would also like to thank all of the members of this Forum, cause I would be completely lost without all the awesome info I have picked up on this site. When the time comes, ill be sure to give back what I can. :)

OH, and it's 12:33 a.m. on November 25th, so...........HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

P.J., thanks man! Your a HUGE inspiration to me. My very first high-end piece was one of your bubs (I still have it, along with many others), I love your work. Getting to talk to you at Chris' shop for like 2 hours that day was big to me, it added lots of fuel to the fire that is my madness. :)

I'm stuck with my current lease for 6 more months, so for now I'm stuck in a ratty little basement, barely enough room to blink. But in the summer I will be moving again, and a big garage will be at the very top of the list.

Nice ,please let know what u think after use. Iam thinkn of gettn a scorpion, actually tried to buy direct from GTT last month during there sell when they were only $650, I tried to get them on the last weekend but they were closed. When I called Monday morn first thing, they wouldn't honor price, really sucked, terry I think is who I talked to.anyways they said I had to pay the $780. And I said FUCK that. I will probably buy one anyway but thru somewhere else on principle alone . I tried to talk strait with wally but they made some excuses. I like the whole scorpion concept so I am still leaning that way. Will probably go thru mtn. art glass since they are so close. Again let know how she works. Thx

it was cool to meet you too, i love meeting the people!!! any questions on where to get stuff just feel free to ask away, we'll get it sorted out. you totally have the eye for quality, so i'm sure it'll become an addiction, just like it is for most of us here.
