why not start a picture/pipe of the month contest?

I keep and belong to a saltwater aquarium forum, and they have a tank of the month thread that displays a really nice members tank, and they do a bio and description with multiple pics. like a spotlight. which i think would be cool on here for glass artists.
also a pic of the month contest to get people to post more pics!!! just state a theme for the month people post up acording to the theme. if you have a gallery for people to put the pics in you can have some kind of voting system on there, thats how nano-reef does it anyway. just thought i would share my idea and see if the mods and peeps think it could work on here. thanks for considering

edit: after reeding your post fully i saw u mentioned nano reef. I was on that forum as well as reef central, and MARSH (local Houston forum).

I gave up my reef tanks when the last hurricane wiped everything out. Had a 55 gal setup as a mixed reef with approx $1000 in livestock. ALL dead except my stupid $15 clown which I hated anyway. Since then I have devoted my free time to glass blowing instead of Reef's

oh and i love the POTM idea.

Something should be done, that's for sure.
There are way, way more glass pics and work threads over on Tokecity... it's just not right.
December 1st is on Wednesday... why not just start a thread entitled "December Glass Pic of the Month." Members have the month of December to post a pic of a piece of glass (or pipes only, whatever) and during the month of January we start a poll in which people can vote on their favourite. Poll ends at the end of January and the winner is declared, and the picture is put in a thread entitled "Glass Pic of the Month - Winners."
Let's do it!

there are more threads on tc because it is a place for artists to get their work showcased to the buying public. here there are very few people that are researching about an artist, mostly just techs....most people here show their work there or gp
