this might not help but i would suggest that being pissed off is a valid state of affairs for a human, as much as joy. revel in it and let it run it's course, just try not to fuck anything up that you can't set right later. it'll pass, guaranteed.

stressed out to the max! fuck!
When you have the worst day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDSud7vAH_0) ever, it just means your really living. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ud-pdJh8S8) Just remember (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivFYVAntpw0), the suns gonna rise (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUfh5mbjjrw) again tomorrow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpb2Wt6HJHk) and be better than (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79cG_F1GxfI) today, full of sunshine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QfnbkXk64w). Nothing lasts forever (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IpzTYS7k8s), and we've all felt like if someone touched us we'd scream (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bpdwwa7lsUI) but tomorrow will be a good day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWfbGGZE07M).

Sometimes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLhglefWgDU&feature=related)in this big old goofy world (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZACwVOJXpn0) we all feel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbkv5xOLvnA)like banging (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJMLJVha5sw) our heads into the door. But like Glassdoc said getting laid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol-KrTTta4g) can help, besides it only takes 5 minutes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkceD6H1ylo) to be gettin it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAXvjTwBf9Q), or all night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJMTVD9rHDQ) if you like your old lady (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6rjj22MTaQ) (unless you got no woman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRTfNOMhnZ4) LOL).

You can always have a smoke (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bp0xBvM2l_4)and get high as fuck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2spZ-NDfS4), or sit down (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGmhLoyZAe0), have some brownies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9B2C1HNJU4A)and wash em down with some gin and juice (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8njCwGwGwI).

If someone is stressing you out, tell them Let Me Be (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1R7HDvMlBps), or piss up a rope (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfmB-8onoMo).If that still doesn't work a simple "fuck you" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nULKw8s061E) and come out swingin' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=233YELFu3Xw) like an apeman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HmaAPaP-h0) and give them a starry eyed suprlise (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Msef24JErmU):D

I wish you all the best (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-P8sP2RN1c) and hope you have a beautiful day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1lxNa9td3o).
Bob

P.S. Don't forget you're awesome (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYws8biwOYc)!!!

To never be stressed is an unnatural state of affairs,, to always be fluffy and happy is wrong.
I can happily admit 1/4 of the time im happy 1/4 sad 1/4 stressed 1/4 elated.
if someone is always in the 'light' then I'd worry about the darkness theyve got inside.

i just melted $500 of my girls gong bowls early this morning on a batch fire, in a goddamn analog kiln, the first and only time i'v run it ?!?

when she left for work this morning, i couldn't even tell her. i gotta press hard to finish my work, and make her $500 before she gets back, before breaking the news.

quit smoking cigs last night and i got a cramp in my lung that feels like i have been jogging for an hour.

today is that hurdle.

thanks, things should be alright. the personal health concern is probably sub-consciously distracting myself with stress to avert. gotta duck and weave.

gotta duck and weave.

Might wanna keep that in mind when you break the news:D

Be well people. Grab a shit piece off the shelf, you know, the crap ones you can't show a custy, we've all got em, heat in the kiln, then heat in flame, then throw in water bucket. good stress relief.

filled this 11 x 4.5 analog jenken. i turned it up 3 knotches, and let it sit for about an hour and half, it was at 800. went up to 4 and came back 40 minutes later to 1300+ and flattened.

in almost 7 years of actually using a kiln, i had never melted anything down, till this and about 3 weeks ago, when a relay in my top-loader got stuck on. me and the lady had to straighten, and polish shelf texture off hundreds of bowls, that then had to be sandblasted to get the grind back. too fun

now this. i got a puck of 300 standard gog available, free shipping:D

ive been on a fail streak lately. to come out of it, all i need is a little win, like my kiln relay coming today after placing an order on 11/4

one thing i constantly repeat to myself is..... it could ALWAYS be worse.

heh, I hope your stress is better.
I think I can top Riley's fuck up. I did one too on Wednesday, the week before last. Just over $1700 worth down the drain. I set the kiln at night before I left, I normally use 600C as the marker and turn it back to 570C from there. I thought I'd be super safe that night and set it to 560C so nothing could go wrong, because I had over 100 units in the kiln (70mm round bottom jars, lipped and 10cm tall). I was driving into work thinking yay, I'll put the next lot in tonight and I'll be able to deliver on Friday ahead of schedule, deadline was on Monday. The order was for 201 units, with the glass I had and the glass I was able to scrounge from a couple of scientific guys I know, it was just enough to make 202 units, so no fuck ups allowed. And I didn't have any fuck ups until I "annealed" them. It was very late that night when I'd turned the kiln on and in my slightly sleepy state, the 800 degree marker looked like 600 degrees ... I really screamed when I opened the kiln the next morning and saw the result. In 20 years of annealing stuff this had never happened to me! Must be the earth's magnetic field interfering with our shit, Riley!
Frantically I tried to source more 70x2.2 but I'd depleted all the stock in town .... gargh! I called the importer in Sydney and they had one box of it! Please I said, send it down overnight express, I need to do these things by Monday. Ok, we will send it out this afternoon. Next morning (Friday) I called them to make sure it went out ... yes, it went out, but there was a pile up on the interstate freeway and all shipments are delayed. I asked for the shipping company number and called them. The trucks had just come in and they were unloading, if they find the box they will call me. At 4pm, with me being frantic by now, because, remember, deadline was Monday and I was prepared for late night working over the weekend, they called me ... no box, no idea where it is, you will definitely get it on Monday. STRESS!
Oh well, not much I could do, I called my client and explained the situation, they called their client and got an extension of deadline till Thursday. So I tried not to think about it over the weekend ... easier said than done.
Come Monday I called the courier company, no, box not found, we will call you when we do. Finally they called at 3pm, found the box, but too late to ship to me that day. So I asked if it's ok to pick it up? Yes, come to loading bay 1 and ask for Mick, Steve or Sam. I drive up there, the freeway was near gridlock, I'm almost having a heart attack by this stage, finally get there ... Mick and Steve had gone home! But, I was told, Sam might still be there, just a minute I'll try find him. 15 minutes goes by and finally Sam comes out. What? he says, after I explained it all to him, No one's told me anything about this, I don't know where your box is. Just a minute, I'll see if I can find it.
For god's sake! I was there for almost an hour while he keeps running back and forth and occasionally going past me saying "Just a minute, I'll find it" ... eventually it was found at about 4:30pm and I was left with 2 and a bit days to get this order done! Bloody hell.
In possession of my precious glass, I get back to the studio to cut them. A friend dropped in:"Man, wtf, I've never seen you stress out about anything before." So we talk while I'm cutting the glass. I look at my segments and think::"Shit, they look a little short" and sure enough, I'd set the machine a centimeter too short ... ok, Chris, de-stress, take a step back, take a breath, have a mouthful of coffee, relax. I took a mouthful of coffee, it caught in my throat and I cough out my full mouth and coffee sprays everywhere ... great! My friend thinks it's best he leaves so I'm not distracted even more, I put on my headphones with some sweet grooves, the music soothed me right down and the rest went without a hitch!

The short of it is, I did finally get it all churned out and delivered by the extended deadline on Thursday!
Please enjoy the pictures of my stress inducing initial fuck-up and the final successful result! Looking back, I feel stupid for having stress get the better of me and some of the shit that went on was downright funny looking at it from the outside. My friend was right, I normally don't stress, but I've had some other frustrating shit going on recently and I guess it all got to a head.

So the lesson I've learned is that stress will not make things better and things will go along just the way they want to, whether we stress or not :)

I find that YES stress does suck but as I process it I seem to get or become stronger because of it. Strange how stress can lead to motivation. So embrace it a shitty and know that something good comith your way brother. Hope all is well with all.

Glad you accomplish your goals Aussie. What are the jars for? Can I come visit you in AUSTRALIA? Thanks

I try to meet my obligations to the best of my ability, just good business, really and if you're ever in town, sure, drop me a line and we can hook up.

The cups aren't cupping cups, although I do some of those, too, from time to time. These things are for a huge office design and furniture manufacturing company and, believe it or not, they sit inside a ring and will be used as pen holders ... :twitch: ... but what do I really care when the $ are right :)
