I have learned about 98% of everything I know about glass from this forum. That knowledge has made me thousands of dollars... not baller money by any means, but enough.
Christmas is a busy time for a lot of us, which means a little more money rolling in... maybe it's time to give a little back to the forum that makes it all possible (for me at least). I would have had to pay thousands of dollars to learn the information contained within these pages, so to donate $50 back to the forum really is the least I can do.
There was no b-day party this year, and this forum does take money to run, so...

This thread is about giving back to the forum which has put money in my pockets and provided me with information which would have cost thousands otherwise.

I was hoping to inspire others to do the same.

I realize the banners provide income to the forum, but thanks anyways for pointing that out Faded. :D

While it's not quite as altruistic, another way you can help is by purchasing a lending library membership. It's $25 for a year, and helps keep the site running, and also allows you to borrow books, DVD's and VHS copies of instructional texts and videos.

Thanks, Icky. Just an fyi though, the library is a separate entity and any money that comes into the library, goes right back into it to help it grow. It's set up to to expand and seems to have worked pretty well over the years aside from me having issues and being flaky. Mer runs it now though and its much better lol.

I've found some great places via those google ads, and mac kilns is new to me via that banner hosted here. i block them everywhere else but these ads speak to me...google told me so! :lol

I dunno, it's all over the place. It's set by the people who list their ads, so some can be nothing (less than one cents so shows as $.00) and I saw one once for 9 cents a click lol.

It's not much but it's worth leaving them there being as I don't have to do anything with them.
