It's that time of year again. Time for us all to start planning our skiing trips.

I had a damn good time on last year's ski trip. And none of it would have happened if it weren't for this board.

this is what I've got so far,

I'm going to be in Salt Lake City from Jan. 27 to Feb. 13. During those two weeks I'm going to be with family so I won't be blowing glass at all. And I doubt I can find someone to blow glass with in SLC. ( But if you're there speak up!!!!)

Last year I went to Boulder, and Denver, and Leadville, and Breckenridge. So I had a great time blowing glass but not that great of a time skiing. I got to ski Copper and Breck. Both pretty weak.

This year I'm definately spending some time in Leadville so that means I gotta ski copper. eh.

But then I got two weeks in Alta/Snowbird. that should be nice. And I've heard that since Big Sky got a tram they've got some of the best steeps around. So is there any Montana blowers here???!!

Or what about Wyoming. Anyone here near Jackson wanna have me out?

I'm looking to plan my trip in three parts. Probably colorado, then utah, then Montana. or utah first, then colorado, then where ever. etc...

So anyone living in a mountain state that wants to meet other blowers post some info in this thread. And every blower in a nearby state that wants to meet up with other people to ski post some info in this thread.

And also, last year I think the thread I started started some other ski collaberation trips. I think some east coast people got together. maybe not.

Anyway, I encourage people in different areas to use this thread to start up ski meetings as well.

I will try to keep this thread on the the front page but if someone says they are in an area you want to got to please contact them right away. Not everyone is on the board all the time.

it would be really cool if we could get a large group of blowers together this winter for a ski trip.

If anyone wants to get together for some skiing and glassblowing you can contact me at : antony_glassbeads@hotmail.com

or you can call me at 320-589-9065

Ontario sucks for skiing, and I can't afford to travel this year, but if anyone else is stuck in southern Ontario and wants to watch me do 80's style ballet skiing on 201's, let me know. Only way I know of keeping Ontario skiing interesting.

I got an idea. You should take a bunch of glass, alcohol and fireworks with you to SLC. Help pep the place up a bit... but then again, if you're going there to leave there... you could just burn down some real estate and enjoy some polygamy. At least that's how I assume your family got off the ground in the first place.

As far as the skiing... you're gonna have to stop taking those steriods and pretending that it's just for making your skiing more fun. No one has been kind enough to break it to you that you have to work out... it's kind of explaining why your head keeps getting bigger. We know you juice because of the beads.

I have a house in Coeur D' alene ID and one in whitefish MT. coeur d' alene is near schwietzer and silver mtns. and whitefish is right by Big mountain. Right now I'm mostly in coeur d' alene. You're welcome to stop in and blow glass and snowboard any time.

Awesome,

giganteglass- I remember you responded last year but I never got a chance to get out there. I'll definately stop by this time though.

Jhog- Fuck yeah, Bozeman is right by Big Sky if I'm not mistaken.

Darv- I've got family that lives in Coeur D'Alene. Do you know Seth Rigles? He said he knew a few glassblowers out there.

keep the contacts coming,
Antony

i work at a radio station in southwest New Hampshire and even though the pay sucks, some of the perks kick ass.. example: free lift tickets. i generally prefer to play hookey from work and ride on weekdays, so if anyone's ever planning to ride someplace nearby (Sunapee, Okemo, Stratton, Mt. Snow, Haystack, etc) hit me up and i might be able to make it out and even make the day $50 cheaper for you..

yo, maui green, i will be skiing utah (staying in park city) in 8 days or so (weekend) for a quick ski trip. If your shop is setup, i'd love to see it, give a ring or email if you are there. dave

I've been going as much as I possibly can in the last few months - pretty much every saturday... In fact, yesterday I almost ripped my medial collateral ligament (http://www.ski-injury.com/knee.htm) in half by wrapping myself around a tree. Board went to one side, I went to the other, and the tree was directly on my knee. Needless to say, I'm a bit sore right now :). Still ended up having an absolutely fantastic day, though. I'm hoping by next saturday I'll be ready to rock the nar-nar pow-pow again.

I would but he's going to school now. I wouldn't want to distract him. I think it's been two months since he's blown glass.

Funny thing is Michigan doesn't have anything more than a bunny slope. I bet you guys wear pink skirts and little pig tails when you ride there .... lol
