Ok, haven't been posting much of my work, but i'm definately feeling better about my work, stuff is just working out as i learn how the glass moves... Still can't get a good bend and keep it round, any tips on that? here's a sherlock from last night, got a little devit on the tight bend towards the bowl.

Looking good.

Tips on sherlock bends: like everything else making more is the best way to make them better.

That being said, using clear makes things hard. It can be difficult to read the glass's heat base. It can be difficult to determine wall thickness and, with clear, the 'timing window' (the right time to move the glass into its final shape) is smaller and harder to find.

Consider developing a surface color pattern. This will thicken things up a little and everything will be hotter longer and will have more 'pull' and far less flow-like-water movement to it during the bend.

I watched that vid not long ago, and been cranking out one peice sherlys since.

your bend looks fine to me, use a sharp flame to remove any devit if need be.
