make sure your camera has a charged battery and a memory card. notepad with extra writting utensil and an open mind to any and all that will be said during the lesson.
and as glassdoc said the most important part have fun. learning something you are passionate about is meditating in and of its own.
get a good nights sleep grasshopper , i am older than you and i will melt glass till the day i can no longer get creative.
oh yeah, ask questions if you are not sure. there is no such thing as a stupid question if an answer is right there staring you in the face. ask, ask and pay attention.

id recommend going over what you know about glass so far in your head and if theres anything you have a question about write it down. sometimes reading how to do something isnt as good as having someone show you how.
hope you have a blast! i learned a ton my first lesson.

Hell yeah man. Way to follow the dream.
The 'kids' on his site don't know how easy they have it.
Couple of kids. A woman. Dumb ass job that holds all the nuts together . . . and still you have hands on a dream of your own.
Good for you, bro. That's what it's all about.
Much respect to you.

So took a few weeks off,, just thinking stuff over,
Im at dads and doughnuts with my son Jacob , i get to chatting with another dad who is about 60 or so.
Hes been a lampworker for a long time, started in 62 . good guy.

I knew I was hooked after my first lesson when I woke the next morning with vivid dreams of what I wanted to try next. Thank goodness that hasn't stopped.
Again, welcome to the fun(house?).
thats funny, my lil girls school had "donuts with dads" today but we didn't get up in time. old school lampers are fun people. especially if they been around since '62, dude's probably got lots of great stories. although he may confuse you too since this industry has leaped forward so fast. beware of his talks about that "expensive cobalt" and such..
