Hey this a picture of my new shop. We built a house and studio starting last year. Two separate vents, 4 torches on one side, 2 on the other with a third that will be added later for wheelchair access. The floors are radiant heat that will be heated using solar hot water. There is a catwalk that you can sort of see going over the top. Its going to be cables for railing instead of plywood as pictured.
The big window on the right leads into the show room/welding room. It a view window for clients to watch demos. I am adding a rock climbing wall but it is out of the picture. Just thought I would show everyone what I've been working on the last year and a half.

The only draw back I see is the ducts are so close to the top of the flame on big tube pulls and other things I work above the flame right before the main pull.

but other than that it looks tight and I have the same lockers with a fancy multi color paint job

yeah that shop set up looks tits..

but i do agree with jr that the ducts would constantly be in my way. may just be my working style, i guess. but i do flail around like a fish out of water with big melts and i would hit that vent first thing.

the rock wall is the icing on the cake. very nice way to blow off steam and have a little change of scenery. you know from on top of the wall.hahaha.

awesome..

thanks for all the comments guys. the fans are crbca14 and crbca 16 made by american cool air. They draw 3300 cfms and 4500 cfms respectively. I agree the ducts on the right side are in the way and I am going to lower the bench soon and remove some of the ducting. I don't really do tube pulls but use a lot of powders on the surface so my thought was have it real close to get ALL the dust but it is a little too much. I set it up as a teaching studio but hope to one day get my sculpture into some galleries.

We are having a class here on April 9th and 10th with Emilio Santini. The class is limited to six people, you can bring you own torch to use assuming you have quick connects, and the subject matter will be the human figure. If you have ever seen Emilio sculpt you already know he is amazing! The class cost is $275 and includes materials. I am going to post something in the events about it but wanted to mention it here to.

Thanks again for the comments, I have been a bit of a recluse putting this shop together and it's nice to finally get to show it off a little.
