I am a paralyzed veteran and it was suggested to me that I get in contact with cripskillz....I would love some of your insight as to how your setup....if you use a foot pedal and if so how do you have it mounted and use it.....also any other advice you could give would be outstanding!

Thanks man,

Krazy Legs

I think I remember LTD saying he could rig up a foot pedal that worked by flipping a toggle switch. I'm not certain if I'm remembering right. Might want to send him a PM. From what I hear his pedals are of exceptional quality.

Hey krzy23lgs, welcome to the forum. Crip does use a pedal with a toggle. Can use a push button also. Here is a thread on a how to build your own with a toggle switch. http://www.talkglass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30460

Again Welcome and thanks for YOUR service for our country!!!

Hearsay and fact are sometimes miles apart.

Very true, I did the search work and found this post from LTD: "I make foot pedals and boxes to control your torch that don't necessarily use your feet...i.e. Toggle switches"

Heres the post I found it in: http://www.talkglass.com/forum/showthread.php?p=565017&highlight=toggle#post565017 Post #8 at the bottom of the page.

Also, welcome to the forum and glass Crazylegs. Your definatly in the right place. I thank you for your service.

"From what I hear his pedals are of exceptional quality."

Foot pedal is nothing but a contact. A toggle switch would work, a bousehold light switch would work, a doorbell would work. Shit, you could even solder a lead onto two pennies and drop them both in a bucket of water when you want your torch on.

I know I'm being sarcastic with that last one, but what I'm trying to say, all that the foot pedal itself does is a break that causes an open circuit. Once you press on it, that circuit is closed, current can flow, and activate your solenoids.

Sorry for threadjacking there, but I think people think their is some magic involved in building a foot pedal, and there really is not.

Back on topic, welcome to the forum krzy23lgs! This is an awesome place, and you're gonna love it here. Also, if at all possible, take Tom up on his AGI offer. That's an amazing thing he's putting out there.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. I do make high quality control boxes available with push button, toggle or *pennies in a bucket activation..lol . The reason mine are called TORCH CONTROL BOXES not foot pedals is because I have been building them with the toggle option since the beginning.
I have to say to those who are doubting the quality of my pedals, just use one then state your opinions. There are plenty of happy folks using TCB set ups. Have not had a single complaint. I am also the only one in the industry offering a 5 year warranty.
Thread jack over. My number is in my sig line. If you want to build your own control box please feel free to hit me up. I will help you track down a good deal on the components and talk you through assembly.
Once again welcome to the forum! It is a great place if you have thick skin

Sorry man was not trying to advertise, someone bad mouthed my product , kinda hard to let it slide. And I was in no way trying to sell crazylegs a TCB, I was letting him know that it could be done and I would be happy to help him get the components to build it him self and offered to talk him through the build. Kind of opposite of trying to sell him one of mine. And I have to say this is the first time I have mentioned my pedals in a thread I have not started in a very long time.
Have a good one!
