WOW!! I live in Houston, Tx. So when people talk about 'snow drifts' and other things, it's hard to imagine. It doesn't snow here, really.
But when I see a pic like this it makes my jaw drop. That glass isn't at risk of breaking? WTF do you do w/ the snow? How do you get out? WTF??!!!

To answer your questions. No the glass is fine, ive never personally seen or heard of glass breaking cause of snow. Roofs on the other hand do cave in under the weight of snow sometimes. To get out you get a shovel and and clear a way to your car, the snowplows clear the major streets most of the time. Theres a saying out here where if you dont like the weather wait a few days and it will change. personally I love the snow i just am mad that i cant get to my workspace cause they dont plow out there.

you sound like a real glass blower and not like so many of the whiney little bitches around who can't handle big boy temperatures, might go with the jagermeister instead of the whiskey if you gotta deal with anyone later or you have a weak bladder.

Thanks for the answer. We're actually due a little snow tomorrow. It won't stick, it never does; it's too humid here. But it's always fun to go out when we do have a little snow fall to catch the flakes. I could imagine living with it would get old very quickly.
