Hey there melting pot community. I have been a glass head for a few years now and have always wanted to learn how to blow boro since i hit my first piece. I have a friend about 2 hrs away who is going to help me learn soft glass blowing but my true passion or where my mind is always at is boro tubes. I've only been on a few days and have learned soooooooo much. Hope to get to know you all and learn a lot more. My plan is to learn as much as possible and then get a torch this summer and start messing around with some boro. I am also a huge Dubstep head from around the Wash. DC area so if there are any Dub fans or glass blowers around the way that could help me get started i would love to just talk glass, so please let me know.

Thanks everyone. Actually this site has already gotten me started. I had a toro swiss bubbler mouthpiece attachment left over from when it broke and i really needed a j-hook so after reading around a bit on here i wondered if my propane blow torch for car repairs would melt the glass enough to manipulate and sure enough after a few mins of spinning the toro attachment in the flame it started glowing and i fucking did it. I just kept spinning and gradually shaping the glass till i had a j-hook. I mean that probably sounds so simple to this community but the fact that i could actually do it amazed me. I am already looking into grabbing a torch and setting up my garage with a bench this spring or summer so thanks everyone for making this place what it is, so people like me can get into this amazing art. Thanks. Also thanks for the tips on who to talk to.
