by seeds, do you just mean dots?? are you talking about doing an inside out bead with dots? if so, yeah, your doing too many steps. you can lay down your dots and then fume right away, then close it up and collapse...make sure its all melted in on the inside or itll crack on you...
if this isnt what your talking about maybe you should ellaborate on what the seed technique is

Seed Beads (http://www.thebeadsite.com/MUSSB-01.html)? They usually are made from glass, in Czech or Japan. A long tube is drawn out, they're machine cut and polished to precision on a tiny scale (these beads are 1-2 mm).
Now, the seed technique: I have no idea what that means.

Hey burnout boy, ignore these jokers.
Have you triple blown the bead before you insert the seed?
I prefer poppy, but most people use sesame.... just don't use mustard seeds - bad voodoo.

it must just be dots on the inside?
Theres no need to close it up, melt in, reopen and fume.
Just put in the dots, then fume, then close it and melt it in.
Maybe you will get better results from the way you are already doing it, who knows.
Give it a try both ways.
