can you anneal half a piece at a time? made a janky inline but it's wider than my kiln is deep... going to have to look for a bigger kiln in a year or so...
thanks!

you definately can....im not saying its the best way to go about it....but u can for sure get away with it....often times ill work a piece half cold, hangin outta the kiln, then find a bigger kiln and fully anneal the whole piece... u did call it janky though, so who knows, janky stuff doesnt like it as much.

thanks, welds are decent, i'll give it a try, got through the first half ok...
it wont be annealed per say, but it might survive. hell it might survive just sitting on your bench and air cooling. to really anneal glass the whole piece needs to be at or above annealing temperature a bit otherwise there will be residual stress between the cold parts and the hot parts. you could as suggested above move it to a bigger kiln and anneal it there if you really want annealed. assuming it survives.
