thats a killer collection of cane.

i use a remarkably similar method to organize the stringer on my bench (rows of screws in a board)

i use 2-1/2" drywall screws cause they don't have threads on the top inch. then take the heads off with the angle grinder so there is nothing for the stringer to get caught on.

the chrome V looking separators are the hearts that came off of the crummy wine stoppers for a few years ago.. with the top of the hearts chopped off.
