About a year ago I bought some Momka's sticks and been using them as mili's. On Momka's website, and on vendors sale pages they all show the sticks that look like flowers turning into something like this:

How do I get that effect from the rods? Do they get striped over tubing and then just wigwaged?
Thanks!!

Just take the rod and wig wag it then condence the rod into a marble. Melt it slow so you dont mishape the wig wags.

Thanks Abe. Is it possible to work this on tube or in a blowout fashion of some sort to make pipes? I'm much more of a pipe maker than a marble maker, although some of these marbles on pipes sounds fun. :) Thanks

pull it into stringers while giving it a twist. it'll give you cane that way.
i would guess the opaque ones like the marley in your picture wouldn't look too hot in a blowout, but thats just my opinion. some of the striking ones whos names are escaping me at the moment might give you better luck for that tech.

I have some momka shorts that ive been experimenting with. I've just been drawing lines with them basically on clear rod and then wig wagging or spiraling. Some look good, some dont. :D The Marley and Apache are pretty cool, but you have to rotate the color rod to get the colors on there. I think pulling stringers would also be a cool idea.

Wfsupply you could just buy line tubing from Golden Gate glass or Chris haze, they both make great products and you will be able to get the effect you are looking for. I hope this helps.

I would much rather learn to make tubing on my own.......... I'm just a glass for fun guy rather than a production facility. :) :) :)
Thanks everyone for your tips, I"ll give it a try here soon............ I was hoping that they would be easy to make into hollow balls rather than just being solid or wonky on clear tube.
Thanks!
