Learn several soft glass marble making techniques such as twists, vortex, ribbon, dichroic, raked, plunged and much more. Lecture includes use of cherrywood molds vs graphite marble molds, punty practice, how to execute ultra clean terminations, and how to properly encase without any scum, bubbles, or ghosts (unwanted interface lines between different gathers of clear) a.k.a. (halos).
This class is mainly a Moretti soft soda lime class, but we will work a couple of hard glass marbles, and discuss the similarities and differences of both the soft and hard glass when making marbles.
