MIKE SHELBO'S GOBLINS AND ANCIENT FUTURE MELTIFICATION
Mike Shelbo $300 + 25 material fee (non-refundable)
June 10-12, Fri-Sun (10am-5pm)
Exploring my interests, this class will offer students a chance to see, ask, and learn about my world of goblins, imagination and glass making techniques. Flameworking will include the making and application of eyeball murrine, hollow and solid sculpture, color usage, and focus on small parts. Utilizing many components to bring together a sculpture, we will explore how to bring an idea to completion using glass, but not limiting to one medium (ie: found objects, glue, paint). Using a household microwave we will explore borosilicate fusing techniques that are so far ahead of our time that they were developed in the Ancient History of the Future of glass making.
Intermediate level.
