I was talking to my local oxy supply company (machine&welding) about getting a liquid tank. They are telling me I have to lease the tank........I can't buy it. It would be around $820/yr for lease and aprox $120 for each exchange. That seems really expensive for the lease. What do ya think?
mine is 350/yr lease....but i'm in the northeast. i know some dudes get them cheaper too

Tank rental here ranges from $150 a year to $550 so $820 sounds pretty high. Fills range from $100 to $125.

I can fax you a quote from the same company (Hey, we live in the same city! Send me a PM lets meet up!) for a $450 a year liquid rental (180L Dewar) and the same fill price. That's a yearly lease.
M&W does fill oxygen tanks there too, so you can have them fill your own liquid dewar if you go that route too. Just gotta bring it on a truck to them. John there is the guy you want to talk to, he's at the Raleigh store.

Don't know about deposit......find that out Monday. I'm about 2hrs east of hickory.
Im paying 30 a month in regular rent with no deposit. Which is an awesome deal.
So you should shoot for something close to that if you can.
120 a fill is not bad.

I used to pay like $120 a fill and $45 a mo. rental. Now it's $85 a fill and $68 a mo. rental... so the fill is somewhat cheap and the rent expensive. Works out about the same.
I've never even thought of asking for a yearly lease. If you have the cash to pay up front, that's a good idea.
