Hello all, brand new to this and getting a kit in a week or so.
I have read through the sight and cant beleive the things that are made. I have sat for hours watching the glass workers at fairs and craft shows. (yes im that guy lol)
Looking forward to learning as much as i can from everyone here as my wife and me dive into a new hobby.

Welcome Dennis,

Nothing wrong with the guy that sits and watches for hours. Plenty of us were that guy at some point. One thing I would suggest though is looking for local lessons first, just because this is an expensive hobby to get into, and plenty of people have bought a starter kit and then decided it's not for them.

Best of luck.

Welcome Dennis,

First time I saw someone doing a demo at a fair, I was hooked. I dumped my next tax return + into my first setup. I went all out and I personally have not regretted it at all. But like Icarus said, its not always for everyone. Take a lesson first, get a feel for it before you decide to jump in.

There are plenty of us that will be glad to help where we can.

Welcome to the world of glass my friend. You will never be the same.. ;)
