We found this guy in the cold working room making his way into the lamp shop.

The joys of living in Florida.
And the release.

Not long we had work to do. Brandon got his attention and I jumped on him held his mouth closed and taped it up. The whole catch and release took less then an hour including the trip to a local pond. First for me but when the excitement happens you just react not really giving it much thought. I didn't relize how strong they are even at that size. I wouldn't be so quick to try a 10 footer.
Oh and the whole time to the pond my son gave me pointers for the release and all around gator facts. Good day over all.

The key to gator catching is rubbing its belly.

When I was a kid I would go to FL semi often. We would go to the Everglades and see the animals & stuff. When we first went the native fish were still there, I returned a few yrs back and noticed the only fish in the water were Oscars. The Oscars have basically eaten there way into the eco-system and wiped many native species out. Dumb-ass pet owners.
I'm so glad I live where it freezes and stops the creepy-crawlies from being as creepy. I prob would have made the 'gator dinner and a nice bag or belt for the wife, lol. Good catch and glad you still got all your fingers.

Oh wait, I get it, you would have made the gator for dinner. I was sitting there thinking, "Why would you make it dinner?"

My dad almost got bitten by a tiny alligator the other day. He sends me the most random texts. Another reason why I live up North. No gators and 1/5 the amount of venomous snakes.

You should have electroformed it onto a pipe. Isnt that the new craze? Glue whatever you find to a piece, coat it in copper, and charge a stupid amount for it.
