Our little lap wheel showed up today and I just got done running the first project through on it...and now that the excitement has died down slightly and my hands are warm enough to type, I have a few more questions...

What is the recommended Polish Agent? Cerrium Oxide...or what was that stuff again? Our lap wheel came with some stuff in a syringe, some diamond paste or something. (It's a Ameritools lap wheel) Is it any good and how much should I use per disc, or per marble...how would you go about it...) The instructions that were included were for a saw, it probably said in the right ones, huh...lol)

SO, how much of the polish 'creme' should I use on the polish disc - 1/4 of the tube? 1/2 of the tube? The whole tube for the one polish disc?

Any other quick pointers you want to bring up that might save me some valuable time or whatever...I'm all ears. Thanks, and I'll be posting some of the first things tomorrow - I'v been making stuff to grind all week in anticipation...lol.

Thanks in advance

Also, Homer mentioned using his about 10 hrs a week. If you read this Homer, about how long do the discs last at this rate? A few months? A few weeks? Is there chea[er ways to get replacements?

Thanks!

when i got mine i asked for the glass polishing compound and they sent me "french cerium" cerium might be spelled wrong though. the directions i got were to put just like a tablespoon in like a cup of water mix it then put it on the disk and let it sit ivernight before use. i reaslly dont know if that is right or not but i did work well when i used it. i dont have the wheel anymore so i dont know any other answers your lookin for.

cant wait to see some cuts on your work.
