My suggestion to you is to do 50 x5 outside with 25x4.o on inside with 7mm color. you can always pull it down to the size you need or pull off what you want and have more left over.
my thoughts on the vac stack is it will take the same prep time to do either size vacstack so you might as well have left over prep.

25.4mm for the inside, 44.4x4 for the outside.
25.4+4+4=33.4
44.4-8=36.4
36.4.4-33.4=3
1.5mm of open space all around
That being said, I'd take styles1's suggestion.

Yeah, i have the 7mm sizes, but i'm looking to getting more lines in a tube. I did the same math and came up with the same solution, i had oredered those sizes as a matter of fact just before i posted this... Just checking my work. Thanks for ur help, always appreciated.
put the 4 mill in between the 7 mil to get more lines.

Interesting, so that variety in diameter won't trap air?

Wow, that's why you guys hook up a vacuum?
I thought "vac" was short for "vacuous".
Try it, it sucks.

I used those sizes for my first stack, I wanted to use up all the really skinny rods I had around. the rods I used weren't quite that skinny tho.

i know this is old, but if im doing math right in my head you could use 50 x 2.5 and 36 x whatever for the center with the 4mm color rods in between... get lots of lines i would think... thinner wall on the 36 i think would be better to prevent dilution, but it prob doesnt make much difference. anyway, just ran across this old ass thread! :P
