I have been blessed and cursed with a rather large influx of custom requests.
Batman is jank, really hard to pull out the horns, i would do it diff next time. It is what it is i guess. Got a ton of scuz on that mug, time to clean the shop, i must have dust everywhere.

Thanks Swampy

I had to make something to take the attention away from my black stallion in post #3. Didnt mean to make yall stare!

Made this for a friend, first time I have ever attempted to do a dbl seal like this, tricky... but got er done!

Nice! yeah, I noticed everyone was all over the cock. Hmm.

You do a way better job at custom orders than I ever could. I'd still be procrastinating if I even got half of those requests.

Really nice design on this last one, reminds me of what I've been seeing on reddit. There's a subreddit about making crazy pipes out of jars and hoses, and you'd blow their mind with glass hoses.

I see what u mean about color, throw a few clear transition, trust me it will make ur pieces look that much more classy. careful with too many welds remember to relieve the stres

Nice work bro, seriously, I wish I had half the skill you do. Do you ever use that lathe I saw in your shop pics, is that up and running?

Coal
08-06-2011, 08:14 AM
Thanks frill
I have used it a few times, but like I said, too much heat for the small basement area.... dry wood everywhere... I do have 3 fire extinguishers and a water tap right there, but... still sketchy. So thats why i decided its time to build a nice shop.

With a proper lathe station.

Here is pics of a true milestone for me. I did it all by my lonesome exept the end where my bro plugged the bowl and carb so I could work a seal in better.... actually I had a skinny lil mouth piece that broke off the "first" time I was done, so had to make a disk mouthpiece that imo is way better.

Encalmo frit sections, china blue, kiwi blizzard decor.

By the end I was in sheer panic!

My tattoo artist friend (who also sculpts) asked me to make him some clear shirlys he could sculpt around.
This is the first of many I believe. He used Sculpty clay, baked it in the oven, then used paint, whiteout, and some fishing line for the wiskers! Awesome!

Looking good.

I really like the framed flowers and vines.

are you using a leaf masher.crimp on the petals/leaves?

Coal
06-07-2013, 07:13 AM
No, I left my leaf masher up at my friends house awhile back so I was forced to get creative. I flattened a patty, pulled it into that flat tear drop shape, then meticulously heated a small area and grabbed the lip of the petal turning 90*, over and over again. Took awhile but they are the nicest flowers ive made. Its not a functional piece, tho I do have plans to make one with a lil shirlock hidden in it. I wanted to make something that hung on the wall to put up at my local art gallery.
Thanks for looking yall!
