I saw a thread a week or two ago about glass and ceramics so I thought I would share some pictures of recent work done by Bonnie Seeman, Ceramics Professor at the University of Miami with some of my glass work. I have been making her some pomegranate seeds for a while now and just recently started making more complicated ribcage and branchlike sculptures for her. Tell me what you think! :D

her work! (http://www.glassartists.org/Gallery.asp?GalleryID=15637)

her work is incredible.

BTW, Love how it isn't directly "this is glass and this is ceramic" It is so interwoven you can't really pick out which is which--flows together so nicely

yeah, that is all Bonnie. We went through a long process of mixing borocolor until I got just the right shade of off white and reds. She wanted the whites to look like bone, and the reds to look like a thin layer of blood on the bone, like you were stabbed with the bone and there was a little blood left on it! It has been a awsome experience. It forced me to approach problems from a different angle on a different scale, I never thought I would say the gtt's center little flame was too big! I will get more pictures as they come and try to get pictures of the older ones, but they sell as soon as she makes them! these pictures are for the Art Basel catalog in switzerland, I'll be surprised if anybody knows what that is, I didn't know until a couple of weeks ago. I guess its a pretty big deal.

Damn dude,

Your over-the-phone explanation didnt do that any justice. That turned out amazing. Is that the only one or is there a series?? Good stuff.
