a couple weeks ago i learned how to make milli cane and now i'm hooked. i've never bought milli , never seen it it for sale , never used it (until my first pull). i've been having a lot of fun , and i'm considering making it for sale.
my question is what is the "standard" size , or what's acceptable ?
i've been shooting for 8mm , some goes as large as 10 and as small as 6 mm. i'm also wondering about the length, at what point is a piece to short to sell ?
thanks jeff

Never seen it, never bought it now you wanna sell it?
^And this guy, fuckin' wants to buy it even....lol.
I'm impressed.
I make all mine between 6-8 mm, because I use rod snippers and that's what works for me.
What's too short? Quarter inch or less.

i guess the next step is to take that tripleblowninlinedoublebub class from GWS.:bouncy::bouncy::bouncy:

No, haven't seen any, would like to.
I did end up offering answers, and they're answers I found by just doing it.
Sorry, I just think there's not enough trial-and-error going on anymore.

@ fred i posted some of my first milli here http://www.talkglass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30074&page=10
and thank you for answering my question. i know that i found smaller 4 and 5 mm easier to use , but i was more interested in what size others liked.
i did the trial-and-error part whilke i was learning to make it and use it. now i'm more looking for market feedback , from those that use milli , because i don't.

Oh yeah. Good stuff. Really like the white/orange OM.
I like the 4-5 size for nipper use, but they gotta get some kiln time, or the cuts will be shit.
I mostly make millis for use in implosions, and I like them with clear between the colors for maximum aperture during implosion. They "feather out" or "fan out" with clear layers in them.
Great work!
I also like bigger pieces like 10-12mill you can cut it on a wet saw as thin as you can, makes a nice big design fastly.
Nice murrini you are making, I started making the face cane millifiori where you make the components and then put them together and pull out a face !

i would like big ones, to cap spoons with would be cool never tried that though
i like to make mine about 7 mm and chip them for everything i do so length dosn't matter to me..
when i occasionally buy them, i dont like any smaller then 7mm. however if they are bigger then say 7-8, i'd prefer anything in the 12mm or higher range, with at least enough length, say 3 inches or so, to punty for a re-pull.
