I bought a invacare millenium for $150 5lpm last year, I tested but forgot to check the working hours on it, and there's like 29,000! I found out a minor will work on 5 lpm, otherwise I just wasted money you know. I'll be getting a minor eventually, to learn on. So that gives me not very long, I was wondering if anyone knows how to bypass these.

shut off the automatic shutdown every I think it's 15,000 hours. They shutdown to be reconditioned and get new compressors I think. You need license in most places to get them worked on, but cruising the forums I found someone that said they might work on them. But Even if you could find someone, that's like 400 bucks most likely. I'm pretty sure it can be done. Someone around here's gotta know. You can also crank em up a little bit, but they might fuck up and not have steady oxy afterwards and I'm a patient (now) guy whose beginning anyways so I don't need a big huge flame. But, even if I only get 1000 hours, the 150 was worth it. Alright, tees, etc probabably another 150 but.

It's usually not that hard to find someone to work on them. Just make sure your repairman knows the goal isn't medical purity and what you're using it for. They relax at that point because someone's life isn't literally on the line.

If worse came do worse you could probably scrap the motor out for $40. I have an invacare platinum that I personally run that has 22k hours on it To me I could care less about the hours as long as it runs good. As long as the machine was maintained I bet it will still put out good purity.

Actually never heard of a "maintenance shut down" for a oxycon. Probably can t happen because it would leave medical patience without oxygen. It may "alarm" at some point but after being on several websites for glass and the many people using oxycons I have never heard it mentioned.
