I have chance to buy a lapwheel its a groves mark Iv in good shape...seems older but everthing works speed control and comes with bunch of black dials...so what good price? Is it worth it for boro? Any help wood be great tks...no books come with it....

The lap is usually the cheapest part. Is it a diamond disk or a slurry wheel? Diamond disks are usually easier to use and less messy but they can get real spendy. I would research this before you get into it.

What size is it? If you want to research the price of disks first check out ASW Diamond (http://www.aswdiamond.com/Glass_Cold_Glass4.asp)
They make all there disks in US and they last a long time. If you had to buy a whole set of disk it would only be about $200 for a set of 8" ones and they would last more than a year if you didn't do a ton of cutting.
