I'm super stoked at what the shop owner chose (none of the spoons, all of the 'silly' ones; not the monster tho :( ) and am looking forward to next monday.

Bonus: a few things I did in my class with the help of a true glassmaster and his rocking torch :D

i like the pendants and sculptures, i strongly suggest getting more foam for your case and not setting pieces on little chunks.

Keep it up!

Thanks a lot!

Yea, a real case, and a bunch of fiber blanket for my big top loader kiln so I can garage things are my two next buys.

Then a hand torch, and ill be more ready to do more intricate double bubs and what not.

All my experiments making multiple inlines have been pretty much perfect, the breakdown always happens when I try to put more than 2 cold pieces together. Any tips on how to warm things outside a kiln would be awesome, at least until my next order.

if anyone missed it in that first post the gallery with all the high(er) res pics is at http://austhoff.com:81/pix/index.php/Custom-Glass?page=1

If you have a top loader, you can cut a door in the side and use it as a side loader to help keep your stuff warm. Looks kinda ghetto but will do wonders if you're trying to work pieces with multiple seals. Tucson rep.

Ill have to order some GonG fittings next time I order clear so I can get the biggest buck out of my bang, and I was wondering how necessary it is to have a specialty holding tool, or if my claw grabbers/pliers and a sofi are gonna be good enough for getting them on my pieces.

thanks for lookin

pliers and grabbers...no
making holders out of other gONg pieces.....meh, it'll do
Graphite holders...yes

I only have a 14mm male holder and a 19mm female holder, and for the other pieces I use other ground joints.

Diggin your janky glass keep it up. The only thing I have to contribute is that you should either make bigger pipes or smaller marbles. Good luck.
