hey i was wanting to make a glass drinking bird but was wandering how do you seal it off ? it has to have a vacuum pulled with dichloromethane in it witch is flammable here is a video of one http://youtu.be/QJh3STOGL8M

the usual method is to leave a tiny pinhole, anneal the whole thing, then fill through the pinhole with a needle and seal it off with epoxy. Do all this while its in the oven, and once it cools it will effectively have a vacuum inside.
