So some of you are already in the know about the fabulous Willy Street Co-Op deli awesomeness, however for those not in the loop, or weren't on the forums earlier in the year when this was discussed... be prepared for mouthwatering ambrosial feasting extravaganza!

First things first, the Willy Street Co-Op easily has the best deli I have ever been to, and their SAMMICHES rock. As any of the Madison folks can attest this food is delicious, and more than reasonably priced.

I propose that we assemble like the wild horde that we are and take a mystical journey to go grab some excellent grub one of the days during Glassroots!

Let's do it to it everybody!

A Lavash mob! I've heard that co-op or deli or whichever is pretty good. I'd be up for a Grassloots sandwich adventure.

No problem! Although I was definitely thinking of doing this one of the two days of the Flame Off, are you guys gonna have to be at the booths all 4 days?

I will be busy the first contest day so the second works best for me to go there

If you chose to samich up on the first day you will need to put me down for 2

although samich delivery during a contest could be awesome.

Soooooo I think both days :) And then people at the Flame Off can get sammich delivery and we wont discriminate against people busy the first day or the second day..... even though I hate those second dayers SO MUCH! j/k

the Mountan Glass be providing food for contestants (make's it so easy to work) but i'm sure if there was a samich run offered up it would be greatly appreciated.

Uhh i was more referring to people that did not want to leave the Flame Off to go out and eat or were busy... but that is cool about the Flame Off artists getting food too...

Maybe Joe would be down to have one of those meals be the sammiches. Someone should ask him. He is a super cool guy.

On that note, I am considering trying to make it up for the show. If I can, I will certainly help with sammich delivery...especially for Eric and Kevin.

co-ops are where it's at....pretty much the only safe place to shop around here besides the farmers markets, anything else I wouldn't really call food....

Since we are talking about food in Madison, I just want to mention the costa rican place around the corner from the show. It's really good. Makes you feel like it might be warm outside.

There is an Afgani cuisine on State Street in Madison downtown that is absolutely delicious, but I am partial to falafal being vegetarian.

I am a veg too...all my life. And I love falafel.

I think I went to that Afghani place a while back... semi-obscure middle eastern food is the best. I'm always up for falafel (not Bill O'Reilly style).

WE went to the place the Dali Lama gets the food from when he is around (thats waht we heard to be true) Its a himalain place on state street, they use veggies that are from the area too and they will be in season since its fall !

Their are all sorts of great cultural food places, I LOVE eating food:D

last year we went to a different place every night, it was fun and we got to meet new folks too.

IS everybody getting an industry dinner ticket ? I got mine already.

P.S.I am not a veggeitarian but i do eat lambs and they are vegans...
