I have been going around kickstarter recently

and i have to say i think it might be a good resource for us. making small batches of tools. or even color/tube. its a pretty cool system. giving a time period that its up. if you raise the money to get it done then its approved and the money is transfered around and the project goes forth. if there isnt enough investors then no money changes hands.
it seams like a good tool for doing group buys/ small runs of tools etc. and also gauge the demand of the product involved.
