I just checked out some of his vids ...
I go on a lot to my students about the kind of chaff that's on youtube and how some people there have no business posting tutorials.
so here it is again!
Be careful what you learn from youtube.
I know this is a thread of mirth and awesomeness, but seriously, any beginners wanting to learn, restrict your youtube intake. A beginner cannot possibly judge what is good and what isn't, so get yourself a good teacher who does know! It's money well spent!!!
Anyone who pulls points like this and then works with them has no business posting tutes or writing a book ...

I looked at this vid and almost threw up in my mouth ... no wonder his points are crooked if he's not turning the tube when he's pulling

Have you seen how he opens up a tube to do I/O, using his tweezers?

Tweezers, you mean mini-jacks?
I like how the first 25% of the sherlock video is the intro.

haha, I left a comment on his video about how, if there is a great wizard in the sky who hands down skills, he'd be without peer, but glass skills are learned with hard work and practice. About how he has no business putting out tutorials and books if he can't even pull a straight point and how it's a health issue the way he's dusting about the glass powder and all he's doing is perpetuating his bad technique.
I don't tell someone very often that they have bad technique, because there are many different ways to skin a cat, but the way he works his tubing, it's just ridiculous!
I'm sure his solid work and knit glass is a lot better than his tube work, which is downright dangerous!
Needless to say, after almost 24 hours, my post has disappeared into the ether .... foooof! Maybe the great wizard in the sky removed it?

Hey, as long as the magical wizard has a fantastically catchy theme song, I'm down with almost anything he sees fit to do. Especially involving chinchillas.
