i had a little bit of alien tech leftovers from a project i was doing and decided to do a prototype piece to see how she looks and works.

the size got away from me as i wanted to keep it much smaller...

love the alien tech. thanks again abe for such a cool color.

well after seeing some of the baller minis at agi and then pogo and mecha post their latest minis i decided to play a bit with scale myself.
here is another new design for me.
its funny how much different things work on this scale when building.
they are a blast and i am gonna try to do a few each week.
this one is right at 2.2 inches.
jailhouse rainbow, with a few reversals and fully functional if you are the size of a hamster.
thanks for looking.

Looking good, Jay!

I've got to say that working small is a good way to get a handle on some basic ideas - for instance, if I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to make something look the way I want it to look, I try making it as small as possible. This really boils down what the basic steps/attributes are. Then I can work up from there and integrate what I've figured out. Granted, I work solid and these are hollow, so oranges and apples. But just thought I'd throw that out there...

thanks wes , and i totally agree that so many things can be worked out on a piece at that scale.
the hardest thing for me to remember is how little heat it takes to melt at that size.

now that i have messed a bit with a tiny one, the work that quave does just blows me away that much more. i have steady hands most of the time, but damn at that scale it only takes the blink of an eye to get out of whack, which is why my stem got all janked on the one above.

now i am gonna go do a small double bub tonight. wish me luck.

that last one you posted would make a sweet pendant on a super chunky hemp necklace imo. super unique dude!
