Hi folks.

I recently spoke with my old machinist, and he asked me if there was any interest in the Infinite Axis Torch Stand.

I didn’t know how to respond, as it has been many years since we brought this product to market, and it has been copied by others since then.

He still has the original drawings and might be willing to produce them again if there is enough interest.

Thanks for listening : )

Tom

BTW- I can’t find any of the original photos or promotional materials for this item, so if anyone has them, feel free to post it here.

Great stand Tom! My IATS is a little over 8 years old now and has out lasted the torch its holding. There ARE and infinite possible positions you could set it for. Once you lock it down with a simple turn of a lever it stays locked down until you are ready to adjust it again. Thanks again Tom for setting up my torch with this one so many years ago. 5stars

That's 25 lbs. of weight (not including the torch) its holding there in the last pic.

I'd buy one, Tom!

Hey Gremlin, for the embedded images to work, you need the link to just the images (will usual end in .jpg)... those go to a webpage with an image. Let's see here,

I've had one for about 8+ years, and it's still great.

Also great for lathe use.

I'm interested also, but price and Bryan's question (does it raise it up?) are important to me...Would love to get one that raised my phantom up a bit..

I'm 6'8" so the difference between sitting and standing while torching is huge for me. I like and want this. what do hey go for? $$$ ?

It raises up higher than the original ball and post stand. I could see where a simple mod of adding a two sided ball joint and another lever section would give you the UIATS or the Ultimate Infinite Axis Torch Stand for those looking for something even higher.
I like that its just a push and turn of the lever to adjust. No matter how hard I've cranked down to tighten it have I ever managed to damage it or had to fetch another tool to make it work.

Bryan's question (does it raise it up?) are important to me....

I think in picture 1 its down in 2 its up in the last its holding weight up ...so my guess is that it moves up and down

Dom

lol the name is infinite axis, therefore it moves in all directions

Roy, it has to be good since it has been viewed by your “alien Inspector”. Thanks for the pictures, and I’m glad you’re still getting some good use from it after all these years. : )

-This stand can raise your torch by several inches, as well as being able to adjust it at any axis / angle

-If I recall correctly, the retail price was in the $150.00 range, and I’ll have to talk to my guy and see if that price is still in the ball park

We’ve made them for the Carlisle, Phantom, and Mirage / Delta, as well as other torches on a custom made basis.

Tom

BTW: If Acidfly is still producing a similar product, I won’t bother making them available. When all is said and done, I really don’t make any money on these things.

The orbitales look nice, but if I recall correctly they don't yet support cc burners

Hey folks.

Since Acidfly is making these stands, there's no reason for us to get back into making them. His version is very nice and serves the same function. If you need one, check him out at:

Have a great night everyone : )

wonka stand or acidfly stand, cc or gtt. They are not the same. Maybe you could have acidfly make the wonka stand as well as his, there is a place for both. I have both but i prefer the design of the wonka stand like i prefer my gtt. If fact look back at old threads it was my asking for a wonka stand that got acidfly making his. I just want a wonka stand and this thread got my hopes up.

There's not room for more than one stand manufacturer, Tom? Capitalism, choice in the market place and freedom and all that? If you're not making money from them, charge an extra $40... you have 10 sold here from what I can see.

Hi folks.

I have some really good news for those of you who want an original Infinite Axis Torch Stand. I will be sending the original machinist drawings to AcidFly, and he will be making them from now on (I’m not involved with it at all).

What cool abut this is now you’ll have a choice between the 2 different styles, and you can get them polished to look a lot more refined than what we used to offer.

With that being said, please contact AcidFly if you want to get on the list for an original Infinite Axis stand… he’s the new owner of the design as well as the manufacturer : )
