Roger Parramore will be teaching a 5 day workshop at the Worcester Center for Crafts in Worcester, MA, August 1-5 for $385 and there are still a few spots open. If you haven't been and you're in the area you should deinitely check it out, the craft center has a great new glass studio with everything you could ever want. 10 Carlisle's, great ventilation, liquid oxygen, a huge cold shop and get this... 2 new lathes (one with an 8 inch bore). Beginner to advanced, this class has
it all. This class is for those seeking a
more thorough understanding of the art
of lampworking. Technique, aesthetics,
heat and theory will be our guides as
we explore goblet and vessel forms in
borosilicate glass. Class discussions and
demonstrations will encourage students
to examine their individual relationships
with glass, while one-on-one
instruction will focus on defining their
personal voices.

Woohoo!!! I just signed up, I'm actually going!! I'm so excited for this class. This is exactly what I was looking for. Soooo, you'll soon be seeing a bunch of wonky goblets courtesy of your truly.

Hey there Dr. Jones,
Too bad you missed this one, it was really cool. Roger is a great guy and a great teacher. I had no batteries, so I didn't take any pictures, but we had some really cool demos. He made like 3 goblets, 3 vessels, 2 ornaments, and a bunch of other small sculptures. I have one of the goblets, I'll take pictures of that soon, plus a couple of my attempts. I'd recommend for everyone to take a class with Roger. No matter your skill level you could learn a lot. It was a great class with great people at a great price, can't beat that.
