Howdy Y'all,
Being the ultra noob that I am, I have put in a few hours on the torch just playing with clear mostly and becoming familiar with how it acts and reacts. I have pulled some clear stringers, melted back in, marvered, then rinse and repeat. Pulled a few thin twisties(all on the centerfire) and finally got the courage to crank up the outer fire on some 25mm HW. As the titls says, Hellfire and Damnation! At this point on the very steep (for me) learning curve, I can't see anyones want or need for anything hotter than the 50+ year old Beth Model A that I have. Turned it to soup in seconds. As I progress, I'm sure things will become clearer and I will be able to handle it, but for now, back to the centerfire for a while.
I'l take this opportunity to thank everyone in this community for their willingness to share and help aspiring artists. Kudos to those that are self taught before these boards emerged. I couldn't imagine going forward blind.
