ever wonder how many flame workers there are in the usa

i was just wondering how many flame workers there are in the u.s., i know there
are a fair some of them in the state i'm in. their wasn't always so many.

I'd say.....A LOT...lol I really don't know...I mean how about all the people who don't use or post on the internet?? I know 3, 15+ yr lamp workers that have never posted anything on-line...outside their large circle of friends no one even knows they blow glass....some people that went through OPD have still yet to rise back out of the shadows... honestly the only people who have close to an idea would be the suppliers

top of my head I would guess in the neighborhood of maybe 30-35k who have a torch and use it at least once a month? I meet people frequently who have a little hothead and some moretti, dabble with it from time to time, but don't really produce anything.

I think there is around 5,000-10,000 in Oregon alone. It's hard to tell cuz so many of us are hermits. I've always wonderd what the # was too.
