Hey guys new to the forum and to lampwork. Im in between houses and waiting to get a home studio set up so I don't have much to contribute but I did run across something in the local newspaper that you southern California peeps might be interested in. I live in La Quinta California and the city hosts a 3 day Fine Arts Festival "The La Quinta Arts Festival" some of you may be familiar with it. It is taking place next weekend March 8-11. On the 9th at 6pm our local Embassy Suites will be hosting a free lecture by Master Glass Artist Randy Strong.

The Ad in the paper states to RSVP by March 6th by emailing Kathy@LQAF.com. Anyways I just wanted to let you guys know because I thought it was fucking awesome that that is happening because there's practically nothing in the way of glass art classes or lectures here in the Coachella Valley. Plus who doesn't like free glass classes/lectures! Let me know if any of you guys are going I would love to network and meet some people involved with glass. :D

Here Is the address of the Embassy Suites for anyone interested
50-777 Santa Rosa Plaza, La Quinta, California, United States 92253

Also I want to state I am not affiliated what so ever with the Art Fair(not trying to be a shill heh)
