Since I started I have always just taken my tanks in and exchanged them for full ones.
I was wondering what people pay to have the "K" tanks delivered ? Any information would help me out. Thanks.
Standard deliver is 12.99 for me. Plus they tax on a bunch of silly fuel/hazmat charges..
depends how far you are away from their place. i pay 20 bux for a liquid to be delivered 30 miles from the store. when my shop was 5 miles away i paid 10
Standard delivery fee for me (no matter what they deliver) was $15, but I was able to talk them down to $10.

You could call your oxygen company and ask them...

With hazmat, delivery, and fuel surcharge it's $45 and Airgas is literally across the street from me...
I've talked to them, they said they could waive it but only in the form of credit on my account AFTER I've paid it... so sort of a wash.

^ same ballpark for me (except no freakin way would they waive the delivery fee and fuel surcharge) on my medical cylinders, it costs more per tank to deliver than the gas refill. It sucks but they are the only game in my town.
i pay 30 per delivery i'm about 20 miles from HQ

I pay about $35 all told for a liquid tank to be delivered in my random residential area , 3-4 miles from the Airgas Zone.

It be different no matter WHAT! i pay 8 bucks, and i get all the tanks i can handle, but I gotta pay for the oxygen... some people charge too much like 30 a delivery and that's per tank... why the hell you asking us, ask your supplier!

I think he was asking out of curiousity what other peoople pay. Obviously it varies greatly depending on state, locality, and taxes. Having a place ~8 miles away charge $15 while the local place ~2 miles away would charge $35

Hey Balls,
Read the Terms of Use here,
you'll have to be more creative to call people stupid, and spell better.
Thanks.

I am asking because I want information and prices on what other people pay before I try to negotiate with Airgas. If I just accepted their offer of 60$ per tank at first I would be screwed, instead I listened to what other people pay here and got them for 10$ per tank.
You guys that say standard delivery fee, is that one time fee per delivery or like a monthly fee you pay ?
Also I pay 4 dollars per tank per month to rent them from Airgas. Is that standard with most people, I would like to get as many tanks as possible if I can just pay a standard fee and have them deliver as many as I want.
Thanks for the information guys !

My delivery charge is per trip - whether I'm getting 1 or 4 cylinders exchanged doesn't matter.

Yeah me too. I normally get a dewar of lox and one or two backup K tanks for when that runs out.
And (for K tanks) I pay about $6/mo to rent each tank.
This is from a local (~20mi) welding supply; I can't stand dealing with the local Airgas reps.

$15 for liquid to my residential address ~10 miles away. I tip (some do some don't). They also deliver the same tank every time. It's picked up one day, no charge, and delivered the next $15. The tank I have is sealed real well and doesn't vent very much.
And I find the cheapest prices for me are through welding shops. The monthly rental, fill and delivery is almost always less than going through a major gas company.
