2 Boys found this on the sand in the River.. In Skagit County here in Washington.. Its heavy and large
Wondering if anyone recognizes the work? I think its soft glass.. appears to be sculpted with that NOSE(?) added

I told them I'd ask on line ...

We liked it so well we put lights behind it..

Hell ya. I used to look for "beach glass" on vacation at Lake Erie in the summers. Mainly just bits of beer bottles and other glass that had been smoother out by the water. If I had found something like this I would have shit a brick. Nice find!

I've done things like this before... throwing out something I wasn't happy with... in areas that it could be found over time. The Allegheny river bank, the woods, a stream, a waterfall, etc.

I think everyone should do that- it's a really cool find for a hiker, fisherman, beach goer, etc., and something they will probably cherish forever.

I always take some nice marbles (not seconds) when I travel, to leave in places where people can find them. Not obvious places, but not so deeply hidden that eyes which happen to look in the right place can't see them. So far I have mibs stashed at Angkor Wat, Osaka and White Heron (the one featured in a bunch of the Kurosawa movies) castles, Machu Pichu, Heidelberg castle, I managed to hide one in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, next to a canal in Amsterdam, Laodikea and Heliopolis (ancient Roman and Greek ruins) in Turkey ... a couple I don't expect to be found anytime soon, if ever, are at Lake Sandoval in the Amazon jungle, Peru, in the ocean, where I was scuba diving, off Sipadan Island in Borneo, in the canal of a floating market in Thailand ... those are just a few that I can remember off the top of my head. I have pics of most of the locations.

this really made me lol.

aside from that, last year there were at least 3 different occasions that I left a pendant on the Disc Golf course, in places that they would be found. In particular, I left a 420 pendant out there on 420. Im sure someone was happy!

Very cool find - and yes, the schnozz is quite impressive.

Leaving little "treasures" for unsuspecting strangers to find is *almost* as much fun as making the little treasures...the kids and I have a great time leaving pendants and beads where someone will hopefully find them. I have to confess though - they're not all "firsts" as Aussie's are - but they're definitely not rotten-nasty trash either - most look like firsts to everyone else but me, lol.
