You melted some glass, clear and colored, then swirled them together. You then shaped it into a marble and took some very blurry pictures of it.
What do I win??

Umm.... I think you need to work on focusing your camera... Pictures are not of a quality where one can actually tell what you are trying to accomplish with the glass...

I made this in October of 2001. Believe it or not, I didn't learn how to do an implosion flower until at least a year and a half to two years later, so I dreamed up this approach. No poop, plastic, or fancy footwork involved. 10 smartass answers, and two or three polite ones. No honest guesses. If it weren't for all the people who look and don't say anything, I would be telling you all to F.O.. Are we here to learn, or to talk shit?

This place cracks me up.
Word up Brian, I'll posit a guess. Due to the fuzziness, it's pretty hard to see this pendant, but I think I've got what it looks like after comparing them all. Did you flatten two blobs, one clear and one blue, sandwhich them together, flatten them, stretch and taper them, then roll it up (sort of sideways), and then shape the pendant?
That's my guess, as it looks like a tulip with a lot of depth to me.
Love your chains btw, highly rad.
I'm also guessing that the end was drawn to a point, and the green drawn on after the flower was shaped.

No offense meant Brian, but when you start a thread thats entitled "Guess how I made this" you are inviting people to look at what you made and venture a guess.
When we can't even see what you've made because of less than quality pictures, what do you expect? Not to mention that the history of "Guess how I did _____" threads has not been a pretty one.
I meant no disrespect with my post...yes I was sarcastic, but it was meant as a joke. Had I kept it serious and sarcasm free, my post would have been as follows:
"Brian, I would love to guess how you did whatever you did, but I'm afraid I can't even tell what you did because of the poor quality of your pictures. If you could take some better ones, I'd be happy to venture a guess."
Would that have been any better?
What did you want from this thread in the first place?
Sorry if I upset you in any way...didn't intend to do so

Fire and glass... there's my only serious guess without any real pictures.
I thought "with your feet" was a funny guess and meant it as a joke. I also thought you were trying to get funny responses from people by posting a simple pendant with fuzzy pics. If you want a serious guessing game, wait until you get a good camera, so we can see what we're trying to guess at. I'll post one of my old TOS (terds on a stick) so you can make fun of mine... seriously. By old, I mean anything born before last week... I don't care if people say it looks like I cut all my fingers off and rotated my shit with nubs. A lot of my stuff looks exactly like I did that. I choose to laugh with people when they bust on my early work... hell, I join in. I didn't mean to insult you. :D

Brent- You have all of your fingers?. If you didn't, at least you would have an excuse for your work looking the way it does. :rollin

Yeah man, but I've got my thumb up my ass most of the time... some times both thumbs just to see if they will fit. Yeah, like that's a problem with my ass. Yeah, like that's a problem with my ass. Hey, is there an echo in here? Sorry, I was talkin out my ass again. :lol
My shit does need some serious help. Thank dog I'm coming back to AGI... you peeps can show me what I'm doing wrong. The flame on my torch should be big, bushy and yellow right?

I'm sorry for being touchy on this one. It is a chain I tried to give to my daughter Emily on her 8th birthday, and she wasn't allowed to have it or know about it. I have a beef with the "Hamilton Hebrew Academy", the principal, Rabbi Morton Green, and, of course, Emily's mother. I know what it looks like so that is what I see when I look at it, I thought they were good enough. So anyways, I should put this thread to rest and explain how I made it. Din got part of it.
I made a rod from 3 black and 3 clear rods, so it is arranged like a radiation symbol, and made a mushroom with a small cap from this as the stamen. For the rest of the flower, I stirred a blob that blended from white to blue, flattened it, sandwiched it between two thick layers of clear, flattened that, and stretched it out sideways. Next I took this flat rod and wrinkle it short again, flatten and stretch. This gave me the rippled look of an unfurling flower to wrap around the "mushroom". The green was added later.
