I picked up something that sucks the big one. Can't seem to scan for it either. Affiliate target or some shit of the like... as soon as I go to post it erases my text and tries to give me aids.

How do I get rid of it?

I have had good luck with ad-aware and I think M$ has one out as well that I have heard decent reports on.

Check out komando.com. Go to her best picks for shareware/freeware.

Misha recommended AVG a while back and I've been using it ever since. I also use spybot.

there is also a chance that it is a startup application. to fix that (and probably some other problems) find a program called hijackthis.exe it will look through waht yoru computer is set to run on startup and you can paste the logfile into a logfile evaluation site and it will spit out a list of all the bad shit in your startup

always use a few adware programs, they'll always catch shit the other misses.. even the ones you pay for.

I use AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Bazooka on my computers. Some catch things others miss.

I have a friend who was recently involoved in a spyware and virus investigation with the govt and he told me that their techs reccomend spysweeper from webroot software. The last time I talked to the folks at microsoft I asked the tech what he suggested and he said that he wasnt allowed to have an opinion; so I asked him what he used at home and he said webroot spysweeper as well.
